Calaruega Experience

"Close to Nature; Closer to God", this memorable quote tickled in my mind when we had a retreat in Calaruega, Nasugbu Batangas. The ambience of nature, mountains, landscapes, flowers, plains and gardens will surely give you the perfect peaceful experience. Wherever you look will remind you how great is God’s creation, letting you realize that you’re a caretaker to watch on his works.

The retreat house is also a perfect venue for wedding. The place will take you to paradise like of eternity, especially when lights are open at night. Calaruega is also a nice place for the whole family, where they can relax and have great bondings, giving them a perfect time for them to have good conversations.

One of the favorite spot is the landscape garden that thrills for you to reach the place. Everything is sorrounded by green, and there is a pond with koi and other fishes, for you to enjoy the scenic eyeview of the garden, you may just sit at the bench and relax yourself a bit.

Kinabuhayan Hiking

Whenever you have enough free time to spend perhaps a vacation, sembreak, day-off or you’re just looking for an adventure for you to unwind and stay away from stress, Mountain Hiking is a must on your “goals”.

During the Holy Week season, hiking with family and friends is a tradition on the bucket list. We used to go in Mount Kinabuhayan, Dolores Quezon.

Many people prefer to hike in this place during holy week, for they wanted to reach the “Tatlong Krus” located on the top of the mountain, where people offer candles and prayers. Before reaching the mountain top you have to endure the long walk, crawl and slide experience. You also have to pass a small cave for you to continue the journey on the way to the top.

Some roads are too steep, and a helping hand is something that you need, good thing that some people you don’t even know will offer their help and assist you.

Ofcourse, you should not forget to bring your packed lunch, it’s nice to eat lunch with your friends under a coconut tree. There are some goods and canteen for you to buy, however prices are a bit doubled so it’s better to bring your own.Fresh running water awaits you when you go down known Sta. Lucia river. It’s cold and clear water will refresh you from a long and sweaty walk experience.
